Alberta Auto Insurance Customer Satisfaction Up, While Home Insurance Satisfaction Drops
When you consider the premium increases that a number of provinces, including Alberta, have seen over the past few years, it may be surprising to know that customer satisfaction with auto insurance continues to increase. A report published by J.D. Power stated that this is the second year in a row that customer satisfaction with auto insurance has experienced an increase.
People Are Paying More - Why Are They Satisfied?
Alberta insurance rates went up 11% this past year - so how can satisfaction be on the rise? The fact is that people are happy to pay more if they see value in a product. Low prices may be attractive initially, but at the end of the day people want to know that they are protected and that they will receive excellent customer service - if those two things come with a higher price tag, then so be it. Why Is Customer Satisfaction With Home Insurance Down?
While auto insurance satisfaction is on the rise, Albertans are singing a different tune when it comes to property insurance. In the J.D. Power 2017 Canadian Home Insurance Study, it was discovered that Western regional insurance carriers have experienced a 10-point year over year decline in customer satisfaction with the claims process.
